People often think a garden is simply a place where things grow.

I've come to see it differently.

A garden teaches patience. It reminds us that growth cannot be forced and that every season has its purpose. Some plants flourish quickly, while others spend months developing unseen roots before they ever bloom.

People are much the same.

There have been seasons in my own life that felt quiet and unproductive. Looking back, those were often the seasons that prepared me for what came next.

Working with herbs continues to remind me that every living thing has its own rhythm. Respecting that rhythm has helped me become more patient with myself.

Whether you grow an entire herb garden or keep a single plant on a windowsill, spend a few moments simply observing it. Nature often teaches us more than we expect.

The garden was never just about growing plants.

It has always been about growing people.

"Sometimes the greatest thing growing in the garden isn't the plant — it's the person caring for it."

What season are you in right now: planting, tending, waiting, or harvesting?
